QUILT THEME
The theme for the 2008 Rescue Quilt was patriotism. It was chosen to complement the location of the 2008 77th RRCUS National Specialty in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania - the site of one of the most significant battles of the United States Civil War in 1863.

The 2008 quilt was raffled at the specialty show on September 25, 2008. The winner of the raffle was Jacquie Dankner.

THE QUILT
The quilt was designed with an antique, rag look. A rag block was sewn in between each of the Ridgeback blocks.
