Meet Venus (ID6005)

Venus was found as a stray with another female Ridgeback. The shelter turned both girls over to Rescue. Our best guess is that she’s between 4 – 6 years old. She is spayed, current on all vaccinations, and is on heartworm prevention. Venus is dilute, so she has a lighter coat with almost a bluish tinge. She is not crate trained, but she is house broken as long as you keep her on a routine. Venus is a lovely girl, but she has some separation anxiety and would do best in a home with a family member home most of the time. She is very playful and would also prefer to live with another dog in the home who can help her gain confidence and channel her energy. Venus’ new home will need to give her time and patience to help her settle into her new situation and alleviate her separation anxiety. We have not had her around small children or cats.
