Meet Dice (ID6099)
Dice is a handsome, quirky ridged boy. He was surrendered to Rescue because his owner was returning to school. He is very energetic, playful, and friendly, and is social and playful around other dogs. He had basic obedience training in 2021. Dice grew up with another male RR of the same age, who was also surrendered and has been adopted. Dice is very tall and thin and EXTREMELY food-motivated. He is a counter surfer, and being so tall, he can reach the wall behind a counter. He cannot be trusted around food unattended. He also loves all soft toys, and often decides socks and other items are also toys! He is a ninja thief and will get a sock ball and be gone before you know it. He does not eat, but he will destroy. He is just so very playful. He is also so very snuggly! He loves nothing more than to snuggle on the bed or couch. He will sneak into the bed at night and wedge himself at the top on your pillow. He is a great hugger, and loves a morning hug before getting up. Dice is crate trained and does well. He will sing the song of his people if he’s crated while others are not, but he eventually settles down. He is a great guard dog and will alert to any sounds or people/cars outside with a very substantial bark. Dice is UTD on shots and HW neg (on preventative), crate and house trained, walks well on lead and rides well in the car. He has been through some obedience but definitely will require a refresher. He runs like the wind and can jump like a gazelle. Dice came into Rescue with three dermoids, but they have been successfully removed (12/10) and he’s healthy and ready to go. He will be microchipped prior to adoption but has not yet because of his prior condition. Dice loves other dogs and humans and his forever home MUST HAVE another young-ish, large dog for him to play with and for companionship. He is a typical RR in his play style. He also will require a fenced yard (at least 5 ft). No small/young children because of his size and activity level and absolutely no cats or other small critters, he has an extremely high prey drive. Dice will be an awesome companion for his forever family! DOB 2/22/21
