Theme

The theme for the 2014 rescue quilt was "The Outdoor Ridgeback."

Style

This beautiful block-pieced quilt features our ridgebacks enjoying a variety of outdoor activities. All fabrics used were 100% cotton. The finished size of the quilt is 48 in. by 50 in. (122 cm x 127 cm). The quilt layout and assembly was completed by Laraine Caponi. The quilt label was made by Pat Ottaway. Custom long-arm machine quilting was completed by Donna Laing of North Star Quality Quilting, Warminster, Pennsylvania.

The quilt has an ample hanging sleeve and is ready to be displayed on a quilting rod as a decorative wall hanging. As with every other rescue quilt, this year's quilt was made with love for all ridgebacks.

RUNNER-UP PRIZES

For the first time, runner-up prizes were also awarded.

Raffle

The 2014 quilt was raffled to raise funds for Rhodesian Ridgeback Rescue, Inc. The winning ticket was selected at the 83rd RRCUS National Specialty Show at Farmington, Utah, on Wednesday, September 10, 2014. Raffle ticket holders needed not be present to win.
